Ochoco Lake is in the scenic high desert of Central Oregon, seven miles east of Prineville Oregon and forty-two miles northeast of Bend Oregon. After World War 1, 1100 acres were flooded to create the reservoir to be used for Flood Control and Irrigation. During the winter, the water freezes perfectly for ice fishing and when winter is over, and spring begins the lake is stocked with Rainbow trout, Black crappie, largemouth bass, and brown bullhead catfish. The fish are ready by summertime for catch and release or caught for dinner. Lake fishing is great from the water's edge or by boat. Lake life flourishes in the fall, winter, and spring when the water levels are higher. Wildlife can be seen all around the lake all summer long.
Ochoco Lake Art Print is a mixed media painting. The artist used Pastels and Watercolor for this painting. This Landscape wall art is a perfect gift for him on Father's Day. The Landscape art print is also a great fisherman gift.
The Artist Gloria Neville painted this Watercolor and Pastel Painting in 2009
Pastel and Watercolor art print is a digital reproduction of that work. Art Print comes unframed.
